Holistic Home Facial
April 26, 2022 @ 11:30 - 12:30 CEST
Beauty rituals – superficial or self-love?
As a mother, it can seem like the only time you have to yourself is when you’re locked in the bathroom washing your face. By practising massage, facial tapping and breath work you can transform a rushed everyday activity into a self-care ritual.
In this second session of postnatal care with Sisi, learn how to gently aid lymphatic drainage, identify tension melting pressure points as well as massage techniques to sculpt, and improve skin tone.
This session is open to all women, but centres around prenatal and postpartum care.
Facial massage is especially beneficial if you’re experiencing Temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMJ), which is the pain or tension caused from clenching your jaw. It is a common stress response and can result in head, neck or shoulder aches.
The session will end with gentle qigong flow to bring our awareness into our body and the present moment.
This session will be held online, so that you can follow the massage from the comfort of your own home.
Equipment: You will need facial oil. Having a good amount of ‘slip’ during the massage is important so you’re not tugging your skin.
Cost: 50,-
**This event is free or discounted for HerSpace members**
About Sisi Hansen King
Sisi is a Qigong teacher, holistic aesthetician and trainee postnatal doula. She moved to Norway three years ago and started learning about postnatal care when, as a new mother, she realised the healthcare system overlooks postpartum care.
Having used Qigong and self-care rituals herself in recovering from postnatal depression, she is passionate about supporting women through the emotional and physical challenges that accompany motherhood or pregnancy loss. She wants to create a space for new parents and help them on their postnatal care journey. She aims to establish this as a business.
