Uncomfortable Conversations on Anti-Racism
Doing the work means choosing to have Uncomfortable Conversations on Anti-Racism. We are renaming our series to better communicate how we create a space for you to learn, share and reflect with others on anti-racist work that will be hard, compassionate and so worth it.
Come to our session to learn and challenge yourself with the support of a community committed to anti-racism. The session is open for everybody, race, gender, ability and identity and no preparation is required.
Uncomfortable Conversation on Race, Dating and Relationships
Have you considered that your thumb might need to check its bias when swiping left? It may be preventing you from making new friends, going on dates with folks that will blow your mind, and letting your guard down. Or, is your thumb acting on stereotypes and fetishizing others when swiping right?
Often, the people closest to us are eerily similar to us, which for some might just be easier, and for others a necessary way to feel safe. Come to this Uncomfortable Conversation to explore some of the ways race has consequences for our close relationships.
